Mrs. Kari Hanson To All Instructors

Kari teaches Spanish at Cornerstone. She is excited to be joining the wonderful staff at Cornerstone Christian Academy as the Beginning Elementary Spanish instructor. Along with her husband, Chad, and they have four children (Gabby, Gracie, Izzy and Declan), who the’ve been homeschooling for the last 7 years.

They currently run a micro-farm in the Fairhaven area where they raise a variety of poultry, hogs, and goats. They have a small orchard and attempt a garden every year!

Prior to becoming a homeschool mom, she spent 13 years in law enforcement, retiring from the MN State Patrol in 2014, and 7 years as Childcare Coordinator for Heartland Free Church. She has also been teaching AWANA for four years. She has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's in Family Life Education/Family Science.

She took Spanish for three years in college and spoke it regularly during her law enforcement career, and also while doing missions work in Nicaragua. She is excited to bring her experience and Christian worldview into the classroom!
